Umeda x Big Bear and Bird: Smart Cleaning Robots and Interactive Tools That Make Tidying Up Fun for Kids

When Umeda invited us to collaborate, the idea was to turn everyday chores into a playful adventure for kids. Their smart vacuum robots—combining both vacuuming and mopping—became the heart of a story where Ubu Bear and friends learn the joy of tidying up. To make the experience interactive, we designed an acrylic task board for kids to track their cleaning goals (with parents awarding points), along with a storybook-style pamphlet that shares the whimsical tale. We also created DIY stickers, giving children the fun of decorating their own Umeda robot and making it truly part of their home.
