HIBI x Big Bear and Bird: Postal-Themed Bags and Accessories with Ubu Bear & Pip

HIBI is a Japanese-inspired bag and accessories brand that I had admired and collected for years. What made this collaboration even more special was that it turned out we were actually mutual fans of each other—though neither of us dared to reach out, thinking, “Why would they want to collaborate with me?” Thanks to a mutual friend who bridged the connection, we finally met, and the collaboration began.

The collection revolved around a Postal Ubu Bear theme, featuring Ubu and Pip in playful, heartwarming designs. Together, we created two large bags, four smaller bags, pouches, straps, and embroidered pins to decorate each piece. To make the launch even more personal, I was invited to step in as the model to showcase the collection.

Released during the Christmas season, the bags became popular holiday gifts, wrapped in limited-edition packaging illustrated with Big Bear and Bird’s postal theme artwork—making the whole collaboration feel even more complete and collectible.
