Jolie x Big Bear and Bird: From Whimsical Embroidery to Bold Crochet Fashion

Jolie is a women’s fashion brand, and our two collaborations together have been both playful and groundbreaking. The first was created to celebrate Lunar New Year, where Big Bear and Bird characters were brought to life through delicate embroidery, styled in Jolie’s signature whimsical and feminine silhouettes with pastel tones. For the second collection, we ventured into uncharted territory—not only for me but also for Jolie—by translating my watercolor illustrations into crochet stitches. It was a challenging process that required learning from scratch, but the results were extraordinary. This time, we embraced bold colors like red, green, and blue, offering a fresh new light for Big Bear and Bird characters while still preserving their charm and identity.
